My wife and I love to hike the mountains, although I'm no John Muir --- we generally day hike in as far as we can an return to civilization in the evenings. You'll also find photos of the chaparral.
Similarly, while I like to take pictures of the scenery and especially of wildflowers, be warned that I'm no Ansel Adams, and I'm definitely no botanist (in fact, I was going to call the site "davesnobotanist.net").

All of the photos are available in original, much higher resolution. For the last two years shooting with a Pentax Digital SLR and 18-55 DA lens after outgrowing a Toshiba 2.2 megapixel camera I used for many years.
You might wonder, "Why not picassa or flickr ?" I wanted control of the site, and didn't want to worry about traffic and storage charges, ergo hostmonster.
